    Amallie De Fonseka is a licensed Masters Social Worker with over 21 years of experience in various counseling roles. A Toronto native, she holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Toronto, a Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Windsor, and a Bachelors of Arts with Honours from Queens University. She is licensed with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers since 2003 and the State of Michigan since 2012.

    Amallie specializes in helping clients overcome issues such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, anger management, family and relationship problems, work changes, grief, women’s health issues, academic difficulties, chronic pain, stress management, and PTSD. She employs a range of therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Marital Approach, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and more.

    Amallie has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient and substance treatment facilities, shelters, and inpatient hospital settings. She is known for her caring and empathetic approach, working collaboratively with clients to empower them and help them achieve their goals.
