As of April 1, 2013 the practice of acupuncture is now a regulated health profession in Ontario. This means that every acupuncturist and TCM practitioner registered, have met a set level of expertise in order to practice. These regulations help to improve the profession and serve to protect the client's right to professional care.
Although we at Alive, are recognised as Doctors of Chinese Medicine in other jurisdictions such as British Columbia, we will now be classified as Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners in Ontario.
